Update

Well, I haven't updated in a long time on this blog as I've been waiting to upload a pic. I've been relocated to another office after we found black mold in mine. Needless to say, I may not be getting in there anytime soon.

Things here are completely and totally hectic and good. I think all of you know by now we are about 85% sure we are having a boy. We are all very excited. CJ and Casey might lock horns about the name though as they are definitely divided between our top two names.

Casey is doing well in school, gearing up for mid-terms, and trying to get a head start on papers in the event that I go early. CJ is doing great in preschool and music school. He's been a little annoyed that one of his old music teachers didn't come back this year. Other than that, he's doing great. It's certainly been a learning and trusting process for me especially with the introduction of foods I have no control over. We met with his preschool teachers to discuss his allergies and I felt pretty good about the meeting. A week later he was eating cookies that someone's mother brought in as a surprise. The teacher's looked at the ingredients package and things seemed to be okay, but then they decided to take them away just in case. It's just such a hard process since he doesn't quiet understand why yet. CJ and I made cupcakes though that they will freeze and give him when necessary. At least he'll have something fun to eat.

We have been getting the house ready and pulling out clothes, burp cloths, sheets, baby toys, etc. For those of you who have been asking, we finally did register at Target and Babies R Us. I didn't realize that I should do that since this is our second baby. At the last sonogram everything looked great. The baby was weighing in at 3lbs 2oz.

I am reaching the point where I am getting tired and am just ready to welcome this little guy to the world. Not too much longer though.

Hello from Philly

Hello and Happy Holidays from the City of Brotherly Love! Its almost New Year's resolution time and one of mine is to maintain a blog for all our of friends and family who don't get to see our little guy on a daily basis (and for those of you that do too). CJ is ready for Christmas- although Santa is not his favorite as you can see. I'm not sure who is worse at peeking at packages though, CJ or Casey. We were too excited to wait so we've had a Christmas tree up since the weekend after Thanksgiving. We kept the unbreakable ornaments on the lower part of the tree, which has been good since he likes to take them off and throw them to his daddy. He's so smart and observant. I'm just amazed by him. He loves to learn and seems (to me) to be very mechanically minded since he can unscrew or take apart anything you put in front of him. He has an infectious grin and a laugh that reminds you what living is about. He likes to talk all time and he LOVES to dance. He's ju...

Home Again

Well, we made it back to Philly! Its been a crazy few weeks though. CJ came back with an ear infection and brocholitis. Then he and Mama ended up with the flu on top of that. Poor Casey had to take care of both of us. I started classes the Monday we got back and so we're back into the swing of a semester. Thank goodness I'm almost done- only one more semester after this one. We had a great time in Kansas City visiting with all of our friends aned family. CJ misses everyone and loves to look through the photo album and point out his family. He also misses his friends Ian and Eli who he absolutely loved to tag after when we visited The Menzies- Spangie, Drew, Sierra, Ian, and Eli. He had a great Christmas full of suprises and travels. He is definitely one spoiled little boy, but we don't mind. Thank you all so much. His favorite thing seems to be his quad bike that his Aunt Dawn and Uncle Eric gave him. He loves zipping around our living room with it. We are still waiting to ...

Update

No major news to update. We're all on pins and needles waiting for the baby to arrive. At this point, it looks like we will definitely have a little one sometime next week if not earlier. Today is my last day of work. I'm definitely ready as I am starting to need more rest and am feeling some major shifting in the baby. Last night Pop Pop arrived though so it definitely brought some excitement to the house. CJ was showered with gifts from Aunt Cherie and Aunt CeCe, which he has been certain to remind us are the gifts for big brothers! He is getting excited at the thought that the baby is coming home soon. Of course, he's even more excited that Pop Pop is here for a long time and that his Nana and Grandma will be out soon too. We will try to keep you all updated when things start progressing. Just wish us luck!
