Big Week

Well, most of you know this was a big week for us! CJ attended preschool for the first time on Tuesday. It was a bring the parents day so we were there to take pictures and help him settle in. His teachers are Mrs. Pika and Mrs. DeBoda. On Thursday, he was expected to go to school by himself. Wednesday night he cried a bit at the thought, but on Thursday morning he kissed Casey good-bye and went right in like he had been doing it for years. When Casey picked him up, CJ turned to his teachers and said, "Thank you. I had a great time." He's so funny.

CJ also had his first visit to the eye doctor. I thought it was going to be horrible, but he was absolutely fine. Right now, his eyes look good. He maybe a bit farsighted in one eye, but Dr. Knisley says they usually grow out of it so she wants to wait to see before discussing glasses.

With Daddy back in school, CJ now gets picnic lunch days with Mama twice a week. We really enjoyed it so far. When it's nice outside we've been able to sit out and eat lunch. He also likes getting to play on the computer. He even got to attend a staff party with me this week. He really thought that was a lot of fun.

The baby on the way seems to be doing well. Sully (what we call him or her) is kicking like crazy. For several nights now, I've seen the foot come up to the top of my stomach. Of course the minute I call Case to look at it, Sully stops doing it. LOL!

It sounds like you've got a nice polite young man. :) Doesn't it make it easier when they like where they are going?

Global Baby

He's getting so big!  It's hard to believe that Cooper is 2 1/2 months old.  We've been home for 2 whole months and he is just growing like a weed.  The first month he gained just over a pound and was still very small.  This last month he gained over 2 pounds.  He looks huge to us, although, he's still only in the 20th percentile for his age. What's more noticeable than his size is how social he is becoming.  While he is still a Mama's boy, he is delighted to be a little brother and grins from ear-to-ear at the sight of his brother and sister.  His other favorite activity is hanging onto Daddy's beard.  It's funny, but when he cries it sounds just like he's saying Mama. Speaking of being social, we've discovered two of Cooper's favorite things- music and reading.  He bounces along and gets so excited when Ceirnan sings to him or plays the kiddie CD player.  CJ found Cooper's favorite book, Global Babies.  Cooper coos to the...

Fall Fun

Did summer really happen? Has it really been 3 1/2months since I lasted posted? We cannot believe how fast it has gone. Moving just takes a lot out of us especially now that we have two. Time seems to march by more and more quickly. I try desperately to soak up every available minute I can because the kids are growing and changing so much. Most of you know that we decided to have CJ go to Pre -K this year. He loves it and is doing so well. Each night we do homework from workbooks that Aunt Cece sent. Just like his Mama, CJ begs for extra homework- particularly Math. He loves addition, puzzles, and mazes. It will be interesting to see if that stays with him as he grows. He is slowly starting to read on his own. I haven't been challenging him as much as I probably should since he's not in kindergarten yet. He's such a funny boy who likes to tell jokes. He's an avid runner and did great in his running club this Fall. Ceirnan is amazing. Just amazing. People who don'...

Hello from Philly

Hello and Happy Holidays from the City of Brotherly Love! Its almost New Year's resolution time and one of mine is to maintain a blog for all our of friends and family who don't get to see our little guy on a daily basis (and for those of you that do too). CJ is ready for Christmas- although Santa is not his favorite as you can see. I'm not sure who is worse at peeking at packages though, CJ or Casey. We were too excited to wait so we've had a Christmas tree up since the weekend after Thanksgiving. We kept the unbreakable ornaments on the lower part of the tree, which has been good since he likes to take them off and throw them to his daddy. He's so smart and observant. I'm just amazed by him. He loves to learn and seems (to me) to be very mechanically minded since he can unscrew or take apart anything you put in front of him. He has an infectious grin and a laugh that reminds you what living is about. He likes to talk all time and he LOVES to dance. He's ju...
