This weekend was certainly a full one for CJ. On Saturday we took off for the beach (as people in Delaware call it) and drove south to Rehobeth. CJ was so excited to spend the latter afternoon digging with his newly purchased (because Mama forgot to bring one) pail and shovel. He made Daddy make trips to the water so that he could pack the sand right! He just had a blast and now thinks we should make it a daily trip.
On Sunday, Casey stayed home to study so CJ, Uncle Johnny, and I decided to hit the zoo. CJ loved looking at the monkeys, but he mostly likes playing in the playgroud that is for zoo members. He got to meet Elmo, which he was thrilled about. He rode the carousal and the train! Uncle Johnny bought him ice cream and a toy. All in all he had a very good day. To top it off, Grandma Dee had pasta, gravy, and meatballs waiting when we got home. He couldn't have been happier and was quiet upset when Mama said we couldn't spend the night.
We've had a blessed Spring and are looking forward to the summer.
