Happy Birthday!


CJ has had a wonderful birthday full of suprises so far. Yesterday he went with his Daddy to pick Pop Pop up from the airport while Mama set up the party. He was excited to come home to a house full of streamers, balloons, and of course, presents! It was fun to watch him really concentrate on opening each gift. He loved all of the wonderful things including a new fire truck that came with a firehouse and real fireman from Uncle Johnny. He also received a sand and water table from Case and I and a shopping spree to Toys R Us from Pop Pop and Nana. He, Daddy, and Pop Pop are there right now. His Aunt Cece knows exactly what he likes and sent out books, trucks, and cute clothes. He really loved this cool Activity Book that he can write in and wipe off. CJ polished off the day with Daddy's grillin', cupcakes, and homemade ice cream.

Today he woke up and we all went out to breakfast together. We can't believe what a big boy he is now. He's spent the day playing with his new toys and his Pop Pop. They are planning a trip to the zoo, a day at the beach, and a ride on the Strausburg Railroad for this week.

Global Baby

He's getting so big!  It's hard to believe that Cooper is 2 1/2 months old.  We've been home for 2 whole months and he is just growing like a weed.  The first month he gained just over a pound and was still very small.  This last month he gained over 2 pounds.  He looks huge to us, although, he's still only in the 20th percentile for his age. What's more noticeable than his size is how social he is becoming.  While he is still a Mama's boy, he is delighted to be a little brother and grins from ear-to-ear at the sight of his brother and sister.  His other favorite activity is hanging onto Daddy's beard.  It's funny, but when he cries it sounds just like he's saying Mama. Fall Fun

Did summer really happen? Has it really been 3 1/2months since I lasted posted? We cannot believe how fast it has gone. Moving just takes a lot out of us especially now that we have two. Time seems to march by more and more quickly. I try desperately to soak up every available minute I can because the kids are growing and changing so much. Most of you know that we decided to have CJ go to Pre -K this year. He loves it and is doing so well. Each night we do homework from workbooks that Aunt Cece sent. Just like his Mama, CJ begs for extra homework- particularly Math. He loves addition, puzzles, and mazes. It will be interesting to see if that stays with him as he grows. He is slowly starting to read on his own. I haven't been challenging him as much as I probably should since he's not in kindergarten yet. He's such a funny boy who likes to tell jokes. Hello from Philly

Hello and Happy Holidays from the City of Brotherly Love! Its almost New Year's resolution time and one of mine is to maintain a blog for all our of friends and family who don't get to see our little guy on a daily basis (and for those of you that do too). CJ is ready for Christmas- although Santa is not his favorite as you can see. I'm not sure who is worse at peeking at packages though, CJ or Casey. We were too excited to wait so we've had a Christmas tree up since the weekend after Thanksgiving. We kept the unbreakable ornaments on the lower part of the tree, which has been good since he likes to take them off and throw them to his daddy. He's so smart and observant. I'm just amazed by him. He loves to learn and seems (to me) to be very mechanically minded since he can unscrew or take apart anything you put in front of him.
