Halloween Update

What a great Halloween! CJ had a wonderful time trick or treating and visiting with Aunt Cece and Uncle Nick. The pictures above show the three day fun. Thursday we went to the pumpkin patch to pick out pumpkins and get some apples. CJ had a great time playing on all the fun wooden equipment.

Trick or treating was definitely quiet here in Newark. As you can see from the photo CJ was a fireman and Daddy was a fire truck. It was quite funny. There were not that many kids trick-or-treating around our neighborhood. It really made me sad to see such an awesome community event begin to disappear. Maybe it's just where we are though. Anyway, CJ still had fun and got lots of candy because people were trying hard to give it away. He walked over to Uncle Sami and Aunt Vicky's house and received extra special treats that he was very proud of and excited to eat. The evening was gloomy and wet, which was just spooky enough to be fun. The rest of the weekend went great too. CJ had a great time playing with Uncle Nicky and Aunt CeCe. He even shared some of his coveted candy!

This week we are just trying to catch up on all we have left to do. My office just finished a big move so Case and CJ have been up here helping me move in. Hopefully, I can get everything set up before I go on maternity leave.

Door-to-door Trick-or-Treating has kinda gone by the wayside here in Vegas. There are several big and many small sponsored events around town meant to be a safer alternative. In the past three years we've been to two of the big ones and the kids have had a lot of fun. Last year Weylan won a $10 gift card to Smart and Final, this year we were given a loaf of bread from one of the sponsors. It's kinda random, but as long as it comes with candy the kids don't mind. :)

Glad to hear everyone had a fun Halloween!

Christmas in Kansas City

CJ is having a wonderful time in Kansas City despite a rough start. Midwest airlines wasn't able to get the family into Kansas City the way they were supposed to do. Instead they got Mama, Daddy, and a very sleepy CJ to St. Louis on Monday morning about 2:30am and to a Days Inn by the airport. His Grandpa and Uncle Eric had to come and rescue him from St. Louis the next morning. Once he arrived in Blue Springs though the fun really started. He was blessed beyond measure and spoiled completely by all his Grandparents, Aunts, and Uncles. He even got his own ride on battery operated bike that he instantly new how to run. He also had his first real opportunity to run out and play in the snow with Grandpa and boy did he love it. He had been trying to get out for days and convinced Mommy to let him go. I'll post some pictures of it later. All in all he's having a great time.

Then There Were Three

After a two year hiatus, we are going to try and keep up with this blog again.  We hope you will enjoy reading about some of our adventures again and sharing in our joys and sorrows. We are adjusting to life with three little ones.  Of course, CJ's not really little anymore and Ceirnan has grown up so much, too.  Cooper is doing great.  He's gaining weight and really starting to recognize the faces around him.   CJ and Ceirnan love being older siblings and are such great helpers for Casey and I.  Summer is moving by quickly so we're just trying to have as much fun and family time as possible.  Casey and I just feel so blessed to have these amazing children in our lives. Life is not always easy, but we are some of the lucky ones. For now, here are some recent pictures of the kids.

Global Baby

He's getting so big!  It's hard to believe that Cooper is 2 1/2 months old.  We've been home for 2 whole months and he is just growing like a weed.  The first month he gained just over a pound and was still very small.  This last month he gained over 2 pounds.  He looks huge to us, although, he's still only in the 20th percentile for his age. What's more noticeable than his size is how social he is becoming.  While he is still a Mama's boy, he is delighted to be a little brother and grins from ear-to-ear at the sight of his brother and sister.  His other favorite activity is hanging onto Daddy's beard.  It's funny, but when he cries it sounds just like he's saying Mama. Speaking of being social, we've discovered two of Cooper's favorite things- music and reading.  He bounces along and gets so excited when Ceirnan sings to him or plays the kiddie CD player.  CJ found Cooper's favorite book, Global Babies.  Cooper coos to the...
