Spring Update


The kids are really doing great. Pop Pop has been here all week and even got to go to school with CJ. CJ is still doing great in school and really enjoys going. They just had Spring Break and he kept telling me it was just too long. Music school is going well too and he will likely move to the next class in the fall. He's becoming busier and busier. He's definitely an almost four year old now.
Ceirnan is getting more and more strength in her hand. I'm confident that she'll get it working really well within the next year. The two of them are a pair and they have so much fun together. It's really great to see them. Ceirnan has pretty much skipped sitting up and moved right on to standing up. She stands on the couch and can even stand for a bit with us barely touching her hands. She's an on the go lady who immediately tries to get up or scoot off her chair whenever possible.

Hello from Philly

Hello and Happy Holidays from the City of Brotherly Love! Its almost New Year's resolution time and one of mine is to maintain a blog for all our of friends and family who don't get to see our little guy on a daily basis (and for those of you that do too). CJ is ready for Christmas- although Santa is not his favorite as you can see. I'm not sure who is worse at peeking at packages though, CJ or Casey. We were too excited to wait so we've had a Christmas tree up since the weekend after Thanksgiving. We kept the unbreakable ornaments on the lower part of the tree, which has been good since he likes to take them off and throw them to his daddy. He's so smart and observant. I'm just amazed by him. He loves to learn and seems (to me) to be very mechanically minded since he can unscrew or take apart anything you put in front of him. Home Again

Well, we made it back to Philly! Its been a crazy few weeks though. CJ came back with an ear infection and brocholitis. Then he and Mama ended up with the flu on top of that. Poor Casey had to take care of both of us. I started classes the Monday we got back and so we're back into the swing of a semester. Thank goodness I'm almost done- only one more semester after this one. We had a great time in Kansas City visiting with all of our friends aned family. CJ misses everyone and loves to look through the photo album and point out his family. He also misses his friends Ian and Eli who he absolutely loved to tag after when we visited The Menzies- Spangie, Drew, Sierra, Ian, and Eli. He had a great Christmas full of suprises and travels. He is definitely one spoiled little boy, but we don't mind. Thank you all so much. His favorite thing seems to be his quad bike that his Aunt Dawn and Uncle Eric gave him. Update

No major news to update. We're all on pins and needles waiting for the baby to arrive. At this point, it looks like we will definitely have a little one sometime next week if not earlier. Today is my last day of work. I'm definitely ready as I am starting to need more rest and am feeling some major shifting in the baby. Last night Pop Pop arrived though so it definitely brought some excitement to the house. CJ was showered with gifts from Aunt Cherie and Aunt CeCe, which he has been certain to remind us are the gifts for big brothers! He is getting excited at the thought that the baby is coming home soon. Of course, he's even more excited that Pop Pop is here for a long time and that his Nana and Grandma will be out soon too. We will try to keep you all updated when things start progressing. Just wish us luck!
