What's the Buzz?

Its been nearly a month and we're still doing fine. CJ continues to grow like a weed and develop into a very sweet young man. He is very good at his please and thank yous and surprises us with a your welcome every once in awhile too. He loves to look at photo albums and to randomly name off all the people that he knows. Its quite funny. He can count along with Mama and Daddy up to ten now. Its hard to believe. He has an amazing sense of humor and loves to laugh with all of his little teeth flashing. He thinks he's about 20, and some days its hard to tell the difference between CJ and my college students. He's very studious and takes reading very seriously. Unless you are reading to him, he prefers to be left alone while he is enjoying his story. Curious George is still his best friend and Elmo is constantly on his mind. He loves his Sesame Street. His other favorite is Wheel of Fortune. As I sit here writing, he's proudly shouting out letters to help the contestants solve the puzzle. Finally, he is becoming an accomplished dancer and loves to dance along whenever and wherever he hears some good music!

I am finished with my semester and heading into summer session. Case is having fun being a stay-at-home daddy and spending time with CJ. CJ loves to copy him too. He'll watch to see how Daddy walks or sits.

The pics are the before and after. CJ had extremely long hair and just went today to get it buzzed. He now looks like a big boy. No more baby here. Of course his hair grows quickly so we'll see where it is in a few weeks.

Talk to you all soon.

Global Baby

He's getting so big!  It's hard to believe that Cooper is 2 1/2 months old.  We've been home for 2 whole months and he is just growing like a weed.  The first month he gained just over a pound and was still very small.  This last month he gained over 2 pounds.  He looks huge to us, although, he's still only in the 20th percentile for his age. What's more noticeable than his size is how social he is becoming.  While he is still a Mama's boy, he is delighted to be a little brother and grins from ear-to-ear at the sight of his brother and sister.  His other favorite activity is hanging onto Daddy's beard.  It's funny, but when he cries it sounds just like he's saying Mama. Speaking of being social, we've discovered two of Cooper's favorite things- music and reading.  He bounces along and gets so excited when Ceirnan sings to him or plays the kiddie CD player.  CJ found Cooper's favorite book, Global Babies.  Cooper coos to the...

Fall Fun

Did summer really happen? Has it really been 3 1/2months since I lasted posted? We cannot believe how fast it has gone. Moving just takes a lot out of us especially now that we have two. Time seems to march by more and more quickly. I try desperately to soak up every available minute I can because the kids are growing and changing so much. Most of you know that we decided to have CJ go to Pre -K this year. He loves it and is doing so well. Each night we do homework from workbooks that Aunt Cece sent. Just like his Mama, CJ begs for extra homework- particularly Math. He loves addition, puzzles, and mazes. It will be interesting to see if that stays with him as he grows. He is slowly starting to read on his own. I haven't been challenging him as much as I probably should since he's not in kindergarten yet. He's such a funny boy who likes to tell jokes. He's an avid runner and did great in his running club this Fall. Ceirnan is amazing. Just amazing. People who don'...

Hello from Philly

Hello and Happy Holidays from the City of Brotherly Love! Its almost New Year's resolution time and one of mine is to maintain a blog for all our of friends and family who don't get to see our little guy on a daily basis (and for those of you that do too). CJ is ready for Christmas- although Santa is not his favorite as you can see. I'm not sure who is worse at peeking at packages though, CJ or Casey. We were too excited to wait so we've had a Christmas tree up since the weekend after Thanksgiving. We kept the unbreakable ornaments on the lower part of the tree, which has been good since he likes to take them off and throw them to his daddy. He's so smart and observant. I'm just amazed by him. He loves to learn and seems (to me) to be very mechanically minded since he can unscrew or take apart anything you put in front of him. He has an infectious grin and a laugh that reminds you what living is about. He likes to talk all time and he LOVES to dance. He's ju...
